Our Designs & Respectful Use FAQ

Our Designs & Respectful Use

Art & Soul LLC brings together New Mexico-inspired imagery, tattoo art, and faith-inspired messages. This FAQ outlines a respectful approach to discussing and wearing culturally rooted designs.

How do these designs honor New Mexico?

New Mexico-inspired imagery offers a way to express appreciation for the state. Appreciation should include care for the people and communities connected to that imagery, without presenting one design as representing everyone.

Is wearing Zia imagery culturally insensitive?

That concern deserves thoughtful consideration, not a blanket reassurance. A design's presence in our store should not be taken as permission from a cultural community or as proof that everyone welcomes its use. Learn about the imagery from the community connected to it, listen to concerns, and make an informed choice.

Does a Zia design mean tribal approval or licensing?

Please do not infer tribal affiliation, endorsement, or licensing from a design's appearance. Any such claim needs specific, verified information. This FAQ does not establish a licensing or permission status.

What about roadrunner imagery?

Roadrunner imagery is part of the store's New Mexico-inspired visual theme. It should not be read as a claim to speak for a cultural community or as having a particular cultural meaning unless that meaning is specifically explained and verified.

How does tattoo art fit into the store?

Tattoo art is another part of Art & Soul's creative expression. An illustration style alone does not establish an artist's background, cultural affiliation, or permission to use a symbol.

What do faith-inspired messages mean?

Read each message and its product description for the words or scripture being featured. Faith-inspired artwork should not be assumed to speak for every believer, denomination, or community.

How can I raise a concern?

Please contact Art & Soul LLC with the product name and your question or concern. Thoughtful feedback helps identify wording or imagery that needs closer review.
